I've been having this problem with my Prius for close to a year now. When I turn on the air conditioner to any setting it will start out on max for a minute or two and then stop blowing altogether. If I'm really lucky it will blow at the lowest setting instead of stopping, but that's rare. The temperature setting is correct, but the blower speed and duration are issues. I replaced the blower motor hoping that this would fix the problem, but it's persisting with the replacement. Any help here would be amazing since we're already into the triple digit temperature months.

Update: Solved

After reading several similar problems others were having, I tried running the AC on high to see if it would still die down. It did not. According to the other posts, this indicated a bad controller so I bought a motor blower controller on eBay and replaced the original one. I once again have working AC. Also, if anyone's curious where the blower motor controller is located, it's under the passenger side dash at the very back. It's easier to replace this than the blower motor, but you'll still need to stand on your head to get to it.
