Hi I am new to the Prius family , I have been driving a Honda Insight Hybrid for the past 13 years and love it . When I saw the redesign of the Prius I loved it and was told that they would be out around April of this year. I checked around 3,4 dealers for pricing and deciding I wanted AWD but not the the high end level but the LE . I finally decided on a dealership and I put a small deposit in February. It was supposed to be here in May . Well now they tell me September . All of the dealers around NY, NJ only have 1 or 2 on their lots and they are all the XLE or the plug in . No one has the LE. Can anyone help me to understand why there is so few of these and if I am being scammed by the dealer just to get me to buy the higher end stuff . The dealer said they just aren’t making the LE yet . TIA

Unless you're Insight is on its last legs, wait 3-6 months. You'll have a much easier (and cheaper) experience.

Thanks for the reply , so they are going to be making more soon? I don’t understand a redesign and there are no commercials every day like the old Prius . They look so much better then the old ones
Last week I saw a 2023 Prius in Kansas, Salina or Hutchinson, don't recall which town. It was white.

The Gen 4 models had been around for 5 years. That's long enough for any Toyota model. It was time for a change, because sales were slowing down, lots of people said the Gen 4s were ugly.
