I recently bought a 2013 plugin prius and I love it better then my gen 2 prius!

Here's my question.. When I use the toyota or aftermarket lvl 1 charger I get to 8.4 miles of EV. BUT, when I use a chargepoint lvl 2 charger it sometimes will go as high 9.4 miles of EV.

The manual says it is supposed to get 12 miles of EV..
Is this an indication that the VE battery bank is going bad, just normal wear? or? One thing that came to mind is that the 12volt battery reads 13.8-14 while charging but then as soon as you stop charging it with zero load it drops to 12.3, with a slight load will quickly drop to 11.8v.. If I change out the 12v with a new one could that help the charging of the EV system as well?

Traction batteries lose a proportion of battery max level each year. I'd say you're doing quite well. Changing the 12v battery won't help the traction battery, but its readings do seem rather low -- time for a change, maybe? Get it tested.
