NAV update on Etune integrated navigation system

Any idea how to update the navigation map on the SD card? I got my hopes up when googled for the information and came up with a Toyota branded Garmin site suggesting you could get updates from...

I'm BAAA AAK!

DanMan32 is back! Any of the old members still around?

Since my 2004 Prius package 9 had been totalled back in '09, I've been driving 2 Honda Accord EX-L. Right after the accident gas prices...

Re: 2004 Prius for Sale in Boston

You didn't put in the mileage. Makes big difference in price.

Insurance gave me about $15,000 for my red one at 109K back in April.

Why selling?

Re: GPS Update

Installation is tricky, but definitly can be done by almost anyone. The tricky part is only in sliding the door over correctly to eject the DVD. Dealer shouldn't even charge for that any more than...

Re: 2 years of prius ownership, time for some upgrades

You can learn to handle the accelerator just right to avoid the TC from being overzealous. When you know you are in potentially slippery surface, ease the car forward, rather than flooring it.

I thought you had gotten into an accident too! Glad to see that's not the case, but a more happy note.

Re: Prius surged forward

I haven't been able to adequately and fully test it, but I belive the Prius will even hold on hills steep enough to cause a conventional automatic to roll back. The Prius will roll back a bit, but...

Re: My Prius Injured

Another thing, I regret not trying to put the car in READY when I had the chance at the body shop. Would have been neat to find out the drive train is still working, even if the cooling system and...

Re: My Prius Injured

Sorry to say, I did not stick with a Prius. Not that I didn't want one, but I want to stick with lower payments for a while, and I don't know how easily I'd find a used Prius around here, if the...

Re: Prius or Civic

I was only skimming this thread but as many of you know, I am (or at this point was) in the market for another car.

Around here, the dealers are pretty much doing what they did in 2004, only not...

Re: 04 Fob batteries

As an asside, I might have a spare from my totalled Prius if I don't add it to a new Prius. Probably will need a dealer to program your vehicle to accept it.
I only left one with the vehicle. My...

Re: My Prius Injured

GA is still part of the SE distributorship. I'd rather stay away from the SE distributorship as they force the dealers to do stupid things.
I can't make any definite plans until I get a settlement...

Re: My Prius Injured

I checked florida sales tax law. The use tax would be the difference between what was paid out of state and what would be paid if purchased in state. For my county, the sales tax is 6.5% (6% for...

Re: My Prius Injured

Thanks Rickey.
I probably can get 60 month 4.99% financing from the credit union that I ended up financing my last Prius.
I would want a 2008 package 5.

As for taxes, wouldn't I pay that here in...

Re: My Prius Injured

Well the rental rented me a Chevy Cobolt base model. No power anything. The headlights are auto, and the radio stays playing until you open the door and it has a DTE guage. These items I would...

Well, I can tell you the airbags I had were working. Well the driver and passenger front bags anyway. Jury still out on the side ones, as those did not yet get tested. :)

Does it only occur when you are in a particular place? Someone once posted that they had problems in a particular place in a parkinglot so we figure a radio tower or something like that was causing...

Re: New owner, Ecstatic owner

Only the 2004-2005 model years had an easter-egg to allow NAV during 'flight'. Which has be disheartened since if I am to get another Prius, it will probably be a 2006-2008.

Re: 15,000 mile brake service ?

My dealer charged $50 for a clean and adjust, which I refused.

At 80K I had the brakes inspected for wear, they said the brakes looked new. So you could probably keep the same brakes for the life...

Re: My Prius Injured

I will certainly consider that offer, although the logistics may make that interesting, being you are in California.
Considerations: flight, time off to drive back, or alternate plan of having it...

My Prius Injured

Well folks, I have grave news. I was in a head-on collision this morning, which insurance is likely total my car since I have 109K on it already, and it is a 2004 year model.

I am OK, but a bit...

Re: A couple questions from the new guy..

If you change the screen contrast and brightness, the colors can look different.
One can make the green look yellow for example.

The lunge is on account of the parking pawl and gearing having a...
