Default Tall Prius drivers?

Hello,

I'm brand new to this forum, and have found it to be a great resource for information.

I'm in the final stages of deciding whether or not to go for a 2007 Prius. I love the car, have test driven it a few times comfortably, etc.

However, I AM 6'5" tall. During the test drive, I felt comfortable. But I just wanted to find assurance from any tall longtime Prius drivers that the car has indeed been comfortable for you over the longterm (roadtrips, commutes, etc).

Thanks!

I acquired mine sight unseen, without ever driving one or even sitting in one. Got it brand new.

I had about four months of lead time to look into things and ponder the car and learn about it, and I kept hearing horror stories from people who thought the seat didn't go back far enough. I started to get concerned.

Then, in March, I got the car. Got in it, and within three minutes realized it was VERY comfortable. It was "just right". Perfect.

I have 10K on the clock now, and most recently came back this week from a 1000 mile trip. The car is VERY comfortable. It doesn't push itself onto you; in many respects, it's like a waterbed. I don't even feel the seat, don't feel any need to squirm or reposition myself for any reason. I get out after 6 hours and am perfectly comfortable.

I'm 6 foot 1, 250 pounds.

If you were comfortable during the test drive, chances are you'll be just as comfortable long term.

I'm 6'3" and a bit. Headroom is NO problem at all. Legroom is good but not great. But then I've yet to find ANY car with legroom that makes me happy. I'm satisfied with "good" and you probably will be as well.

I'm 6'4" with a 34" inseam. Head room is no problem, though someone whose torso is proportionately longer might have a problem. Your test drive presumably suggests head room is fine.

I'm OK with the leg room. My only complaint is lack of a vertical adjustment for the seat bottom; I wish there was a tad more thigh support. I've driven as much as 500 miles in a day, and as long as I take regular breaks I'm OK.
