Default New Owner Here

I just purchased a new Prius. I don't have it yet as the dealer is searching for a Prius with my specific options on it. I have given them 3 color choices that I would accept (white, silver and green). I'm looking forward to learning all that I can about the Prius. I have already gleened quite a bit of info from this site and it posters.

Congratulations, it's a great car. I've had mine for almost 3.5 years with no problems. There is a wealth of knowledge at John's site at http://john1701a.com/.

When I was at the dealer's buying mine, they had a green one sitting next to the silver one that I ended up buying. I think the silver looks much better. There was also this darker gunmetal type color, which looked good, but in the Florida heat, I wanted the lightest color possible (besides white that is). The silver is bright, just the way I like it. Can't wait to tint the windows.

I have had it 3 days and just rolled over 300 miles, it had 36 when I bought it. I am averaging 48 mpg so far with alot of 70 mph hwy miles.

I bought a new 2007 Prius Touring Edition and absolutely love it. It is silver and looks beautiful. I love the fact that it looks like a compact on the outside, but when you are sitting inside, its like Alice in Wonderland, feels like a mid-size sedan.

Hey, PriusLove,

Just out of curiosity, does your state require an odometer mileage certificate be provided to the car owner at time of sale (new or used)?

Looks like a couple of people went for a ride in your new car before you got into it (test drives?), or else it had to be transferred to your dealer from another one as part of a swap.

My certificate said ONE mile, but the car had 11 miles on it when I got it (& I know it didn't get swapped). The miles probably came from a test drive. I think I remember somebody last year report'g that they got their new Prius with something like around 265 miles (or maybe it was 500 & something miles) on the odometer & some broken parts too. I don't think I'd like to pay the new car price for his car. Some discount like $1,000 would be good though.

My first Prius, a 2005, had 117 miles on it--the test drive car at the dealer I assume, since I also had tried it out. My new one only had 3 miles. Congratulations on yours. I've really enjoyed mine, not only for the mileage but for the wonderfully smooth ride and maneuverability. And the 2007 is a real red, which I was waiting for.

Don't put off till tomorrow what you can do today.

Ken, I don't really know if my state requires it or not or if I received the mileage certification or not. I didn't really notice one in all of the paper work that I received. I had the option to wait for another car the following day that had no miles on it, but 36 miles doesn't bother me in the least. I actually would rather a few miles like this be on the vehicle so that any problems would be noticed before I head home. I do see your concern about too many miles like over 300 or something, and I would want a discount also.

I almost have 600 miles in 4 days now. I just received a new job and have been going to doctor's offices in Melbourne back and forth from Titusville FL for drug screening, TB tests, and Hepatitus B vaccines. Also took a trip to Universal studios in Orlando with the family. I must say, I really love this car and I hope all of my relatives purchase them. Now if I could just find a nice girl to share life with, oh well, can't have everything I guess...

I bought a new 2007 Prius Touring Edition and absolutely love it. It is silver and looks beautiful. I love the fact that it looks like a compact on the outside, but when you are sitting inside, its like Alice in Wonderland, feels like a mid-size sedan.
