Default Occasional hesitation in 2001 Prius

Great, old vehicle (with replaced main battery) has, on occasion recently, seemed to lose power on the highway. Caught again immediately. Has 130,000 miles on her and I'm replacing the plugs (fourth time) with Borsch Iridiums and putting injector cleaner through the next fillup. Should I be thinking about the "coil packs" (on top of the plugs which replace old distributors and coils) or anything else? Several new air filters over the years, reasonable oil/filter replacement. No other issues in all the life of the car. I'd like to deal with this as a minor problem.

Any thoughts appreciated. thanks for any help you might provide.

If it is a minor problem that has just started appearing in a vehicle you've owned for many years, you're probably proceeding correctly.
However, if this starts occurring more often and more dramatically, you could be observing the "Big Hand Syndrome" that affected early model Priuses such as yours. You can google it for more search hits, but there's a good write-up here, including links to Toyota Service Bulletins: https://www.priusonline.com/9-toyota-...-triangle.html

Stating the obvious, but the first things, and easiest things to look at are the fuel and air filters with any gasoline engine that lacks power under load. Second would be to verify the fuel pump is putting out enough pressure. I've changed a number of those on older cars who lost power on the highway.

Good luck with it.
