He didn't give proper credit for the foglight mod. Atilla and I were also involved in developing that mod.

Hmm,

You're right. When I originally wrote that up for Priuschat, it had the following at the bottom of the article:

Other Thoughts:

These instructions are quite detailed. Itís really not that big of a project. Again, the hard part is just working up under the dash. With patience, youíll do just fine.

If you just canít seem to get the tap-ins hooked up because of the limited working room, you can follow Attilaís instructions for removing the junction box and having more room to make the connections:

More info and variants of this modification can be found on this thread:

http://www.priuschat.com/forums/1-vt652 ... c&&start=0

As a caveat, once you perform the modification, you will probably be dismayed at how little light the fog lights put out. There has been a lot of discussion at how bad OEM bulbs and fixtures are. I purchased after market bulbs from Areometer which ended up being 2 to 3 times brighter than the OEM ones.

Many Thanks:

To gmurphy, totavi99, king_of_the_huns (Attila) for taking the lead and making this modification using other methods. To Danman32 and other posters who were the brains behind this and realized that this modification could be done and how it could be done. Lastly, to Areometer who let me do this modification to his 2005 Prius and for taking some of the photos posted here (I had previously performed this modification on my own car using a method similar to Attila)!
