Default New to this forum, need to replace the timing chain

Hi, my name is Terry, I live in Australia and I have a 2008 Prius with 717,000km on the clock. Huge mileage eh, it was an ex Qld taxi working in and around Brisbane. As far as I know it has had one second hand battery pack in that time.
Yesterday the noisy timing chain moved up about 10 levels and now must be replaced, has anyone else attempted such a job and if so, was it not that bad or something you would never attempt again?

T1 Terry
