I never did understand the color choices. My white '05 came with grey interior. I'm grateful that there wasn't any burgundy anywhere NEAR it. So, what's with the grey/burgundy or ivory/tan interior color choices? Where do they think the burgundy is?

Hi Sanny. The "Burgundy" comes in brownish cloth interior. If you have noticed already, the cloth interior in a Prius comes in "Two tone" and the
_Burgundy_ is around the seat edge or bolsters. The rear seat also comes in same pattern. I do convert those fabrics to Leather using the two patterned mothief. A "two thumbs up" from customers that has commisioned the conversion.

Oh. Mine isn't two tone. Mine's just one happy grey fuzzy material. The dash is slightly darker, but no burgundy to be found. Maybe they forgot on mine. YAY!!

the "burgundy" refers to the slight burgundy tone on the cross-piece on the front (toward driver, not front of car) dashboard. you can see it in the right lighting situations. They could have skipped that, in my opinion.

O. Since I've not noticed it in 3 months, I'm hoping it's not really there. Maybe a figment of Toyota's imagination.

In the right lighting, the dash and door panels can have a dark red tone to them, in contrast to the dark gray fabric and lower door panels.
Here's a photo of an early 2004 BC Millenium Silver Metallic (color code 1C0) with the Burgundy/Dark Gray (color code 1 interior, on a fairly bright Oct. 2003 day:

then there's this dimly-lit BC Gray/Burgundy interior shot from Toyota:

which everything appears to be a grey or a darker tone of grey...

Im going to be getting a Prius in the near future, so I decided to go down to the dealership and scope out a few. The MSRP was $20,000 yet the lowest I saw was $25,830. Can't I just get the darn car and not some $6,000 dollar package premium?
