Default Rear outlet

I'm on the list for my Prius and simply can't wait (been following the thread on what to do while waiting ... lots of wanking going on ... haven't tried the car on a stick yet) Anyway, I do have a question for those owners out there. Now that I'm doing loads of contracting, I have REALLY started using the 12V plug in the trunk of my VW Beetle to charge all the gizmos and gadgets. I know that the Prius does not have a 12V outlet in the rear cargo area. Has anyone on here tried to put one in? Are there "constant on" 12V lines in that area of the car that could be safely tapped (downstream from a fuse) for an outlet?

Thanks,
Snowdall

The luggage light is fed with 12V from the 15A dome fuse. However that fuse is shared with other items so keep that in mind when considering your load.

Would be a thirty minute "snap" to pop an outlet near and tap directly off the battery with an in-line fuse rating of your choice!

I'm going to do just that as soon as I can order stock Toyota parts for such a rear outlet. That way if damaged they can easily be replaced at the dealer.
