Default visibility problems

My husband and I have been driving the Prius for two years. The side and rear visibility is awful and very unsafe. I feel I am taking my life in my hands every time I merge onto a busy road. The extra wide divider between the front and rear doors, especially on the drivers side, blocks much of the view and the small divided rear window makes the rear window practically useless. Why doesn't Toyota address these problems?

What model year Prius are you talking about? And, what does this have to do with the topic of the MFD? (see the thread topic)

Is it unrealistic to expect Toyota to replace the ECM ($600), when I have 186,000. They have replaced two 12V batteries for me at 102,000 and 166,000 BECAUSE I was first out the door in a 2002 .

Over the years, I have had two steering racks, a gas tank (with fuel pump), and one or two hybrid module, main printed circuit boards replaced for free.

Recently, when our high-voltage traction battery failed, our Toyota service department manager told the Toyota zone manager that we were loyal Toyota customers (we purchased three vehicles from the same dealership, and have had all of them serviced regularly by them); and between Toyota and the dealership, a new battery and installation labor was discounted from $3,200 to $1,850.

In my opinion, it doesn't hurt to ask. All they can say is NO...

Default 2014 MFD/radio failure

Our new 2014 prius 3's MFD/radio failed after only 3 months. Dealer replaced with a used/remanufactured 2012 radio. They said they are totally under warranty to do this. Has anyone else a 2014 prius radio fail? I've seen so many on 2004/5 and 2007, but none on 2014. And I can't even tell what model radio the 2014 prius should have had (maybe 86140-47060?) and what model I have now being 2012. I don't feel this is an acceptable replacement seeing that new radio/mfd goes for $5 to $6,000 and though ours was 3 months old, it's nowhere near the $350 value that a remanufactured 2012 radio goes for. Does anyone have any info on this or suggestions? thanks

Well the MFD is not important, to the multiple program. The only slightly crucial factor about it is the heating and cooling, and also the more specific show of issues should the Check Engine or Triangular of Loss of life appear. Other than that, the MFD is totally informative.

Well As for being protected, by the multiple assurance, that too is quite obvious. One would think that the MGs and energy divided system is protected under the multiple assurance but they are not.
