Default 2015 Prius 3 Fuel Consumption Display

I just bought a 2015 Prius 3 and am trying to find out how to display cumulative fuel consumption. So when I reset the Trip A or Trip B meters the corresponding Consumption display also resets. Is there a way to maintain the Consumption reading; i.e., not reset it, and just reset the Trip A/B meter? It appears you can do this on the HDD Display models (Prius 4/5?) using the APPS screen on the main display, but not on the Prius 3? I saw another post that said you could use the Trip B Consumption as a cumulative reading by never resetting the Trip B miles (and Consumption). Is this correct? It seems really lame that this is so unsupported on this Prius when owners really want to know everything about fuel consumption, since that's one of the main reasons why they bought the vehicle in the first place!

Thanks.
