Default Hey Toyota, I need a 4WD Hybrid with good MPG

One option: Put the Camry hybrid drive into the RAV4 or better as an option in the Highlander Hybrid (or the same system in a small minivan)

Second option: Add the rear drive system that's presently in the 4WD HH as a Prius option. Still great MPG, faster acceleration and reliable traction. I want it!

JeffD

ps: If Toyota doesn't do it, my next car will not be a Toyota as I need to replace our Subaru Outback very soon. One of our cars has to be able to get up our driveway in bad weather.

I bet my 94 Lexus ES will get up your driveway in whatever weather you get.

It's called "proper tires for the conditions".

But I believe JeffD wants 45MPG and I expect at a cost of much less than $40,000
Sacrifises have to be made but it will be pretty darn hard to replace that Subaru for what you want.

I bet the Prius will get up the driveway if proper tires are installed.

Even a track star will put running shoes on as opposed to dress shoes.

Be careful on thinking "4WD, AWD, etc" will get you up a hill. There are a lot of pissed Highlander owners and Volvo owners who have found that their traction control systems essentially stop the car whenever wheels start slipping.

I'm sure there are other brands that have this issue as well.

Dan,

I guess that I'll find out this winter. I'm about to put a brand new set of Nokian WRs on my Prius as the Michelin MXV4+ tires are almost used up (4/32 left at 51,500 miles, the original Integrity tires were even worse in snow/ice than the MXV4s).
