WELL, I GOT MY EMBLEMS IN THE MAIL FRIDAY. THEY ARE JUST OVER 5 1/2 INCHES LIONG AND THERE ARE 2 AND THEY ARE REALLY FOR THE PRIUS AND NOT THE HIGHLANDER. BUT IS THE BEST I COULD FIND. I HAVE SEEN SOME HIGHLANDERS ON DISPLAY WITH THESE SAME EMBLEMS. MY QUESTION FOR YOU FOLKS IS, WHERE WOULD YOU PLACE THEM? I MAY JUST USE ONE AND PUT THE OTHER AWAY. tHEY ARE TOYOTA PARTS AND IT SAYS THAT ONE IS FOR THE LEFT AND ONE IS FOR THE RIGHT, BUT THEY ARE NOT REVERSED.

Emblems?

By the way, all caps is considered shouting and rude. Please turn off your capslock.

DanMan32, I think she means the "Hybrid Logo" Emblems on the HH there is a place on the side rear doors ( left & right ) that Toyota is sticking the _Emblems_ that says: "Hybrid"...

DAN,

I HAVE MY CAPS LOCK ON NOW FOR A REASON. YOU ARE RUDE AND A KNOW- IT- ALL. And what's the deal with the glamour shot. Do you think we care. There, that said, I'm sorry that I used the wrong term. If you didn't have any suggestions, why did you even reply to my post? Just to make fun or be mean? I notice that you do that a lot. I wish your mother had taught you that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

I'm not going to justify that attack with a direct response.

Thanks Rickey, since no vehicle was mentioned, I could only assume it was for the Prius. Didn't know HiHy's had emblems/stickers on their windows.

Wait, I am going to respond directly. If you ask anyone here, they WILL tell you that all caps is considered shouting and rude in the internet community. As a matter of fact, look for all caps posts, and you will see responses indicating that fact, and not just from me. All I did was state common practice of courtesy, and even said "please" when I asked that you turn off your capslock.

As for the glamour shot, its just a simple picture from a webcam. It is NOT meant as a glamour shot, just a simple picture of me in front of my PC. Quite a few others have pictures of themselves as avatars, so why target me? I will take it as a compliment though that you think the quality of that picture is decent enough to qualify as a glamour shot, though it certainly isn't.

I am sorry if you feel my contribution of knowlege on this site is being a know-it-all. Actually, I have spent time downloading and reading the tech manual of the Prius, plus I do have a working knowledge of electronics and auto mechanics, and I apply such knowledge. I do theorize alot, I will grant you that, and sometimes my theories may be admittedly wrong.

I did a cursory search, and I don't see you answering anybody's technical questions, but I may have missed them since it was a cursory search. Would you be able to answer any of the technical questions? It isn't a bad thing if you can't, but don't knock others that can and do.

I did not know about any emblems, so I was questioning what you meant. For all I know, you could have obtained a third party emblem (there are some out there), or may be new for 2006. So I asked. Rickey was kind enough to answer.

So if anyone was rude, that would be you. I really feel your attack uncalled for.

03Jill, I have re-read your post questions and perhaps you meant the emblems that you have received from Toyota are indeed for the Prius?

I read your post and interpreted such emblem for the HH but they culd have been for the Prius as well.

If yours are for the "Prius" the 06 Logos can be affixed to the panels on the right and left right after the front tire fenders. If you have the " HH "
then follow my post earlier.

Also 03Jill. DanMan32 he is a nice fellow and I have learnt a lot from his post/advise... and I believe and I'm certain that he is not a show off nor pretentious at all. He contributes enourmoslly to this forum. So do you..

Cheers !

03Jill, DanMan, & C.Rickey,

While I'm not trying to be an instigator by sound'g like I'm taking sides against 03Jill, but she did come off sound'g a little vindictive on Dan. She's not new (86 posts) & has a right to be heard, but please, Jill, in the future don't be so harsh on anyone here, especially DanMan [we're all here for the improvement of the environment, the promotion of REAL Hybrids (especially the Prius), & to HELP EACH OTHER].

With nearly 3,000 posts, Dan's technical wizardry makes him one of the best cotributors here, followed by Michelle, a research genius with over 2,000 posts, providing us with direct answers or sources to find our own answers at our own pace, & then of course, C.Rickey, the Hybrid movement's most vocal promoter, with nearly 1,300 posts, help'g to connect thousands of new customers with the best Hybrid out there now. Without people like this in our midst & hundreds more that I can't even begin to name (but that are definitely NOT forgotten), this site couldn't be as great as it is.

So, Dan, I am glad you did respond. Your response seemed very fair, consider'g the harshness of 03Jill's comments. And C.Rickey, thanks for coming to support Dan before I could get my 2 cents worth in. 03Jill, we still love you. Keep on contribut'g (in gentler tones) & someday we'll see you with thousands of posts & some will say "We couldn't have done it without her". Now, let's all get back to peace & love & Priuses (even though Prii is the proper Latin plural of Prius, it just doesn't roll off my tongue as easily as Priuses, so please overlook this one of my faults).

Everyone,

Please except my apology. Bad day I guess.

DanMan, I have replied to some people’s posts about the Prius and the NAV system. I have welcomed new people to the site and congratulated them on their new purchase. I truly am happy when a family gets a Hybrid. We have owned Hybrids since 2002 (our 1st was a 2003 Prius and we still have it.). We have a 2004 Prius and the new Highlander Hybrid. So though I may not be a Hybrid guru, I do know from experience of what I speak.

When I was looking for a “logo” for the Highlander (mine just came with the little logo on the back) the closest I could find was from a company that sell’s them for the Prius. It does not say Prius, just “Hybrid” and a blue and silver design on the side.

Thank you all for setting me straight. I will try to do better. I do best when I just read and learn and not try to post.

Jill
