Default 2010 Prius Burning Oil

My car showed an oil pressure message and I was several quarts low. They put me on an oil consumption test. The engine is burning a 1quart plus every 1000 miles.... The service department says that with the issues that Camry's are having that Toyota says 1 quart for every 1100 miles is acceptable.... Of course this is non sense and has nothing to do with the Prius. I have done all my service regularly and have done it at the dealership at which I purchased the vehicle. Does anyone have a best approach with contacting corporate for addressing this issue. I have had the vehicle less than 5 years and I have about 118K on it. Other than that it is running pretty well but about a 5 mpg drop over the last 2 years..some may be due to a non low rolling resistance tire.
Thanks for any advice.
