2015 no start. Auxilliary Battery bad so soon?

My 2015 Prius has recently been acting up a bit, till today when it went crazy.

I would try to start it cold in the morning and the first try only the intermediate power would come on. Not a start to the car. But one or 2 more pushes of the start button and I'd be fine.

Today was different. Really no start at all until I tried about 10 times. Really gave me a scare. So I took the car in for service and they tell me they think its a bad auxiliary battery.

I said that's horrible. All of the Toyota vehicles I've owned these last 40 years, including my beloved 2005 Prius that got totaled while it was parked in New York City, just ran and ran. For a battery to die after 2 years of use...???

Anyone else have a similar starting problem?

I won't know if it really was the auxiliary battery till I get it back tomorrow and I try using it for a few days.

Steve

PS As you can see I have not yet updated my profile to my Prius 2015.
