Try putting that under your hood and shut it and turn on the car!

I'm having big problems with mice making nests in my 2006 Gen II cabin air filter. I've tried traps -- live and kill-traps -- and those ultrasonic rodent repellers, but thus far nothing has worked. Over at Prius Chat, someone posted that a way to block mouse-access had been discussed here... but the link didn't work. If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them...

Default Blocking Mice in Prius

Welcome to the "Mouse" club ! The fix involves removing windshield wiper arms, then the slotted cowl that covers the air intake area, then installing small grid hardware cloth over the entrance to the air blower. I don't have the exact reference to this at the moment but I will post a reference when I find it again. The hardest part of the project is getting the wiper arms off. I am going to attempt this very soon. This will not prevent mice from sitting under the hood and chewing up the wiring harness. My Toyota dealer told me that a customer had over $5000 damage from mice. Their wiring harness was destroyed.

Found some info here. i don't think you need to remove the wiper motor.

Try searching first if someone has the same or almost the same product. If you dont find any, then maybe try introducing it to companies that may be able to help you.
