Picked up my BC Seaside Pearl today. She is a beauty. Only got to driver her about a mile so far (dealer to work....almost late!)

More when I've had time to play.

Congratulations!

I'm jealous! Not really. I love that color. I'm a bit concerned about the beige interior...looks like it might be hard to keep clean.
Give us your new car impressions when you get a chance.

Did a tiny bit more cruising around today. Very sweet car. I'm impressed with the acceleration.

The beige interior will pick up dirt. We went to examine my car just about an hour after it came off the truck--pre-TDI or anything. I brought my sons who promptly climbed in the back and put their dark soled tennis shoes up on the seat. Left pretty clear foot prints that didn't come off in the detailing. I'll try some upolstry cleaner next and then hope to Scotchguard the whole works.

FWIW, the material does seem like it will clean easily.

I'm having the windows tinted Thursday (30%). I'm hoping that helps balance the view out the back window a bit. Checking on getting XM radio installed today too.

XM Radio

Let us know if your dealer has a problem putting it in. My dealer says they have never done that installation on any Toyota.

I originally ordered the blue but saw someone on Yahoo in Virginia looking to swap their silver for a blue and we are going to do it. I like the blue better but know I will trash the tan interior the first day. So, we are both happy.

I wasn't going to use my dealer to install it, had planned on Circuit City or Best Buy or a local car audio place. I decided to wait a little while though. There's a new XM unit coming out soon--the XM Commander ( http://xmradio.com/commander/ ). It is thin, and narrower top to bottom than anything else out there that I've seen.

I THINK it will fit into the empty slot in the bottom of the head unit so that it will integrate smoothly with the system.

As soon as it comes out and I can get it installed I'll take some photos and give some feedback as to how it worked out.
