Default My Prius can do what?!?

Got together with an old high school friend yesterday. He's driving a 2008 Prius with over 100K. He didn't know he could lock his car with the button on the door handle. Black button on a black car...he hadn't noticed it. He's been using the fob to lock his car all this time.

Has anybody else come late to the game in discovering things your car can do?

heh, not Prius, but my other car (a 1998 Subaru Forester,) I recently showed a friend who also has a '98 Forester that there are small storage bins in the door armrests. Plus he didn't know about the pull-out pull-out cup holder in the dashboard. This came about when he asked "what else can you show me about my car" as I was setting his clock for him.

Owner of 'Eeyore', a 2004 Prius. Only took 2 days from start of search to delivery.

8 years of ownership, 115,000 miles, about 40 MPG average at present.

You guys are funny! I guess I should be at the bottom of my class because there were plenty of things I didn't discover with my Honda Civic back in 2004. There were several compartments (and yes, cup holders) that I managed to not discover until a year after my purchase. Mind you. it was a little worn when I first bought it (it was used), but I guess my mind was a little preoccupied and I rarely ever used the compartments. The only "compartment" I utilized was my glove compartment (for my registration).

Oh yeah. . .I didn't discover that there was a place to plug in my iPod until a year and half later too. However, I'm pretty technologically inept.

Haha! What did he think that the black button did? I guess it isn't really something that's taught because they expect everyone to know that it's universally the "lock car" button.
