Default Just basic AUX input for 2005?

I have a 2005 Prius (no Aux input), and all I want to do is add an AUX input jack. Nothing fancy. I don't want to control my iPod or iPhone, don't want on-screen display, I don't want charging. I just want an AUX input that I can then plug into the headphone jack of whatever device I wish.

I have the standard 1-disc CD player system. I'm even willing to disconnect the factory CD player if I need to / if possible, seeing as I've used it about once... I was lucky enough to purchase one of those old FM transmitters that works on the 87.9 frequency, and was satisfied enough with it (not perfect, but OK). However, I've moved to the iPhone and the cell-phone signal interference from this thing is too great.

I've been googling and looking here all morning and I just can't seem to find anything current which performs this function. The few links I am able to find are usually expired or actually point to extremely expensive integration solutions. It is also likely that many of the systems which fully integrate the iPod won't work properly with the new iPhone 3G.

Edit: After continued searching it looks like my best solution is the old FM-modulator route (the wired-in kind). This still isn't ideal since the quality, while better than a FM transmitter solution, still isn't up to a proper input.

Do you have the cassette deck? You can still find those old adapters, and they have very good sound quality.

I ended up getting the hard-wired FM modulator. Installation took about an hour and my total cost was just over $100 labor and hardware. Sound quality is much better than even the best FM transmitter solutions, but still nowhere near what I would like. I found a car charger for the iPhone which has an audi-out port on it, plus pause/play and skip forward/back buttons. So now I just plug the phone into one cable and I'm good to go, while maintaining the ability to do everything on the phone that I would like and having an alternative way to access those basic play functions.

Other than the sound quality, which I will call "acceptable", this is an ideal solution.
