Default WA Dealers for service so far...

I drove an '04 up here and back and now I have an '07. I've been through 4 dealers so far to see what's out there.

Toyota Seattle - Went in for standard oil change and tire rotation on my '04 right before I drove back down to CA. When I hit the freeway, I noticed the alignment was out. I couldn't wait another day to leave. Oh well. Then, they sent automated notices offering to 'buy my used Prius for bluebook plus 3 times the cost of my last service!'... $35 oil change so bluebook plus $100? I was insulted and haven't gone back.

Lakecity - Love these guys. If I was still in N Seattle I'd use them all the time. Never any grief or pressure to sell extra items. Strictly what do you need, we'll make it happen

Toyota of Tacoma (I work in Tacoma, commute from W Seattle) - also very nice. They dropped me off at work and picked me up when the car was ready. When I said no to the 15k standard they said fine. They did call and say your air filter can't wait but I believed them. I would use them again.

Titus-Will Toyota - slightly closer to work. They dropped me off and picked me up too. They also said the filters need to be changed (at 22k). When I expressed surprise they offered to save the filters for my review w/o asking. I didn't think they were trying to upsell. I'll use them again.

It is good to report those things here. I'm glad you did. If I happened to live on the west side I would definitly take your advice.

It has been said:
Hybrid drivers come in 3 flavors, greenie, techie and cheapie. Pick any 2.

Now I really like Titus Toyota in Tacoma. I'm up to 45,000 miles now. I got new Nokian tires last November. Titus didn't sell them so I used Southpark Tire Factory. It turns out that a valve was not tightened all the way. This resulted in a really slow leak which triggered the flat tire light. I mentioned it to Titus b/c they can work on the car while I'm at work, not on a Sat (only time I can get to Southpark). Titus found the problem, explained it to me, fixed it, all with no charge.
Highly recommend the service center.
