Default 2004 Prius radio quit after jump start

I have a 2004 Prius with 200,000 trouble free miles, until now. The car sat for a month and battery went dead. I jumped it with the ground cable attached to engine, not the door post latch. Car started and runs just fine, but now radio is dead. The display works, and you can change stations, but no sound except for every 2-3 seconds a "static pop" noise comes from speakers. Also, the CD player will not disgorge the CD inside.

I've checked though not replaced the specified radio fuse in fuse box underhood and under dash at lower left side. Both fuses look good. I disconnected auxiliary battery ground for an hour. Still no radio-----------

Any thoughts ?
